Comment by Attica Lundy on June 21, 2011 at 5:43am On The Rise Magazine ( @OnTheRiseMag ) went to Club Obsessions tonite to attend the Hustle & Flow event (follow them at @Hustle_Flow ). We were invited by Tracye Bryant, aka @Tracye_BigDeal (follow her, too). My team tonite consisted of several professionals ( @WhyCauseICan , @RobynLatoi , @PromoterTV , @MoneyDesignz , @LiveLifeWhite , @CelebStatus_PR , and of course me, #TheBossLady @AtticaLundy ).
Hustle & Flow was visited by MTV! The lines were already forming at 7pm. The cook hadn't even arrived yet (running a little late), but arrived around 9pm. Now...I mention this because the wings at Club Obsessions are always banging, so the wait caused a little impatience on my part..but quickly dissipated by the wonderful mix coming from the DJ. And, the host was @ATownMike who is one of the best hosts in Atlanta.
I had only one bad issue tonite...and that was the bartender named Jasmine who refused to switch my drink out. I asked for a sprite but it tasted like clear Kool-Aid (not winning) and she said that I would just have to buy another one ( only $3 but it's the principle ). So by the time I got my wings, my waitress (Bless her heart) talked to the bartender again and brought me back a replacement drink (Cranberry Juice), so all was well again.
Okay..so the club was filling up. And if anyone has ever been to one of Tracye Bryant's events, you know that the community really supports her events just as much as she supports them. Club Obsessions was decked out in with lights that illuminated the club; neon pinks, and blues, and other colors that seemed to, with the music, engage everyone in what turned out to be a fantastic event.
You can always spot the hottest names in Club Obsession. This is the same club that I originally saw Alley Boy Da Don and Lil Hot Da Money Man perform in. Tonite artists such as Future, KK (SEC), Big Kuntry (Grand Hustle) came through to show love. I also got a chance to meet Duct Tape ENT 's female artist, @MizSmurffDTE , and got the opportunity to see her perform with her band.
Other people came through- the On The Rise artists. They hit the stage one after another, showcasing talent. Good Talent. Great Talent. Talent that deserves help to the next level. That's what Hustle & Flow does; helps artists to the next level by affording them the opportunity to perform on a stage in front of their peers, industry heads, and media.
That's where I come in. By bringing two photographers and a video team, as well as another publicist and some writers; we offered free interviews and features to the artists there. Other media were there, too. Lights, Camera, Action. That was the scene all night. And MTV, along with the rest of the media, captured it all.
Club Obsessions was a great venue to hold this event in. Free parking that is secured, great food and drinks (except that aweful Sprite), great music, invaluable network opportunities....overall it was a fantastic night.
Please tune in for more on this event and Club Obsessions on June 23, 2011 when On The Rise Magazine releases the story about June 2011 Hustle & Flow at Club Obsessions. You can visit the story and other's like it at http://ontherisemagazine.com .

Comment by BMT Entertainment, Inc. on February 5, 2011 at 5:07am Hd team members down from VA, we went to Cream. Our first time in the spot, its designed similar to blush maybe a lil more money spent. the DJ booth was a better look. it was wide open smaller spot but good size for where its located up buford pass Miami. The search lights worked because thats how we ended up there. its was raining so that may have effected the crowd but to be a later night spot it was kind of empty. There were some good looking woman, not a whole lot of dancing going on. but it got emptier around 2am and they don't close until 5am which was weird for the A..if its open late here, they will come! What we didn't like was the two lines 60/30.00...Trying to beat heads on admission is crazy around here because the bar is open late enough...understand that the promoters not seeing that bar money though. I say just keep it 20.00 all night and if you have a higher vip line that's cool but 30.00 on admission is over the top for a 3/4 empty small club. Overall review 3.0 stars out of 5 for atmosphere, and DJ Trauma. We'll give it at least one more visit to see if it was the rain or they really are that empty after 2am.
Don't forget that New JASON single "Feeling So Alive" in stores now! http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/feeling-so-alive-single/id416495827
